What is SPYG?
The SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 Growth ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P 500 Growth Index (the "Index"). The S&P 500 Growth Index measures the performance of the large-capitalization growth sector in the U.S. equity market. The selection universe for the S&P 500 Index includes all U.S. common equities listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ Global Select Market, NASDAQ Select Market and NASDAQ Capital Market with market capitalizations of $5.3 billion or more. The Index is market capitalization weighted.
What is TIP?
The Fund seeks to track the investment results of the ICE U.S. Treasury Inflation Linked Bond Index (the "Underlying Index"), which tracks the performance of inflation-protected public obligations of the U.S. Treasury, commonly known as "TIPS," that have a remaining maturity of more than one year. TIPS are securities issued by the U.S. Treasury that are designed to provide inflation protection to investors. TIPS are income generating instruments whose interest and principal payments are adjusted for inflation a sustained increase in prices that erodes the purchasing power of money.
